Ice

Applying ice to sore muscles or joints after a workout can reduce pain and inflammation. Exposing your blood vessels to cold temperatures will contract and cause blood flow to be restricted in that area. When there is less blood flow, it helps to ease swelling and pain. Adding ice to your recovery regimen is a great way to ensure your muscles and joints are ready for future workouts.
